William Bill Paul Trussell, 86 of Sunray, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2013. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 11 o clock in the morning on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Brown Memorial Cemetery with Rev Phillip Hilton, pastor at First Baptist Church in Idalou, officiating. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 1:30 in the afternoon on Thursday, January 2, 2014 at Sunray Baptist Church with Rev Phillip Hilton officiating. The family will receive friends from 68 o clock in the evening on Wednesday, January 1, 2014 at the funeral home in Sunray. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Sunray.
Bill was born on June 17, 1927 to William and Mary Bristow Trussell in Asher, OK. On December 31, 1947, he married the lovely Lela King in Plainview. They were happily married for over 65 years. After spending most of his life as a Farmer and residing in Sunray, they made the move to Amarillo a little over a year ago. Bill enjoyed fishing, hunting and telling a good joke. Spending time with his family was extremely important to him. Bill was passionate about farming and was a member of Sunray Baptist Church. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his parents one brother: John Trussell and one sister: Juanita Woodruf.
Bill is survived by his wife: Lela of Amarillo three children: Barbara Ann Rumfield and husband Bob of Burleson, Tx, Linda Kay Hardin and Husband Rodger of Amarillo and Jerry Paul Trussell and wife Rhoda of Burleson nine grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
