Donna “Mimi” Garner Price, 64, of Dumas, earned her wings on Sunday, May 14, 2017. Funeral services are scheduled for 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, May 18, 2017 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Jori Buchenau officiating. Interment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 o’clock in the evening on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors.
Mimi was born in 1953 in Amarillo to Thomas Edwin and Joyce Lavern (Johnson) Garner. Mimi was loved by her sisters Terry Price and husband David of Amarillo and Toni Turner of Midwest City, OK. Donna married the love of her life Bill in August of 1979 in Amarillo; Bill survives her. Bill and Donna were proud parents of Sarah McClelland and Abbey Zubia and husband Cruz. Mimi was most loved by her grandchildren: Jadan Price, Bray Zubia, Avry, Coen, and Evie McClelland; brother in law Ray Price and wife Debby; sister in law Ann Clark and husband Nolan; special cousins Jock and Debby Morris; many nieces and nephews were also proud to call Mimi their own.
Donna was a teacher for 29 years and loved every child that came into her classroom. Mimi loved watching Demonette Volleyball and Demon Football. Mimi never met an animal she didn’t love. Mimi also loved to make her special “joy” blankets for newborns. She was a very talented artist who could draw or paint anything. Mimi also enjoyed to research her family roots through genealogy. In recent years, Bill and Mimi would enjoy taking their German Shephard, Kaizer, to dog shows. Above all, she loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them at their sporting events. Thank you to all our family and friends for joining us in our faith that Mimi has arrived in the kingdom of heaven.

Donna was always a sweet person. I met her in high school and reconnected through FB. She loved her family so much and was so proud of each of her grandchildren. I'm so sorry for your loss. But know that Donna will continue to watch over you with her heavenly family.
