Elisabeth "Beth" Charlotte Jackson, 50, of Dumas passed away Friday, March 2, 2018, after a brief illness. The family will receive visitors at Morrison Funeral Directors, Monday evening from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors.
Born Oct. 13, 1967 in Downingtown, Pa., she was the daughter of the Rev. Bob and Barbara Jackson. She spent her early years in Pennsylvania, then later moved with her family to Texas.
She graduated from Dumas High School in 1986 and shortly thereafter was hired at the newly-opened Wal-Mart, working among the very first store employees hired at the new store. On March, 15, she would have completed 30 years employment with Wal-Mart. She proudly wore a 25-year Wal-Mart service pin presented to her in 2013.
As a young girl, she participated in sports playing on Dumas youth baseball and basketball teams. She loved to read and enjoyed occasional travels with family and friends. Ruidoso and Taos were favorite destinations.
She loved spending time with her family, close friends, reading, cooking and caring for her pets. She especially enjoyed Thanksgiving and the Christmas holidays with her family.
Beth was the life of any party and lit up the room with her infectious laughter. She was a loving and kind friend, sister, aunt, and great aunt in spite of her own struggles with her health. She was born with Marfan's syndrome, a debilitating and painful disease that affects major body systems that finally took her life.
She attended Bible Baptist Church of Dumas.
Preceding her in death were her parents, Bob and Barbara Jackson.
She is survived by a sister, Leah Zeigler and husband Gordon of Plainview; a brother, Stephen R. Jackson, wife Becky of Pampa; Niece Amy Mascetta, husband Jason, and great niece and nephew Giana and Grayson of South Carolina.; niece Erin Elisabeth Zeigler and great nephew Christian of Amarillo; niece Kathryn Zeigler and fiancé Chase Ham of Lubbock; and nephew Paul Jackson of Amarillo
She is survived by special friends Belynda Jolly, Sammie Griggs, Kelli Lanham , Sheri Barr, Brenda Rainey, Mary Garcia, and Connie Tinordi.
The family suggests memorials to the Marfan Foundation, which can be reached at www.marfan.org or by calling 1-800-8-MARFANx126.

I didn't know Beth well. When I first became acquainted with her was several years ago at Walmart. She always had a smile and we would sometimes talk. Then I joined Bible Baptist Church and got to know her better. She was always sweet and cheerful. I especially loved her cute laugh. I am saddened for your family's loss, but our loss is heaven's gain.
