Patricia Ann Cummins

Patricia Ann Moyer Cummins, 90, of Dumas, TX passed away May 17, 2021 in Pueblo West, CO. Services will be held at 2 p.m., Sunday, May 23, 2021 at Calvary Baptist Church with Deacon Milton Pax officiating. Burial will be at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will recieve friends from 6 o'clock until 8 o'clock in the evening on Saturday at the funeral home. Arrangements are by Beeson~Morrison Funeral Home.Pat was born October 27, 1930 in Ulysses, Kansas to Clifton and Flossie Pearl (Smith) Moyer. She grew up in the sand hills of Western Kansas with her seven brothers and sisters, and she attended Ulysses High School. She met her husband, Buford Cummins, at a weekly barn dance after he returned from service in WWII. They were married on November 4, 1947 in Stratford, Texas. After they married, they farmed in Sundown, Texas and later moved to Dumas where they spent the majority of their life together, raising four children: Gary, Larry, Terry and Connie.She was a hard-working mother who served in several professions to help support her family. At one time or another, Pat cleaned houses, checked groceries, worked in retail, landscaped and was a legal secretary. A faithful member of Calvary Baptist Church, Pat enjoyed her church family and loved listening to gospel music. Pat was also a member of the VFW Auxiliary and the Red Hat Society. She loved red roses, phone calls, letters and cards sent by loved ones, especially in the final months of her life. Among her favorite memories are times spent at family reunions and the precious time she spent with her sister-in-law, Jean Cummins. Pat is preceded in death by her husband, Buford; son, Gary; grandson, Michael; four brothers, Adam, Orville, Lloyd and David; and two sisters, Elaine and Wanda. Survivors include a sister, Martha Garmanian of Belleview, WA; three children, Larry (Judy) Cummins of Pueblo West, CO, Terry (Denise) Cummins of Dumas, TX, Connie Cline (Gordon Schumpert) of Somonauk, IL; daughter-in-law, Sharon (Bayless) Cummins of Pueblo, CO; 10 grandchildren, Scotty (Linda) Cummins of Colorado Springs, CO, Cristina (Tim) Wright of Colorado Springs, CO, Cynthia (Jeff) Furney of Pueblo West, CO, Tomy (Mendy) Cummins of Castle Rock, CO, Will Cummins of Dallas, TX, Brian Cummins of Dallas, TX, Alethia (Tim) Hummel of Sumter, SC, Houston (Jackie) Cline of Sandwich, IL, Vickie (Jesus) Lopez of Pueblo, CO, Randall (Molly) Cummins of Parker, CO; 16 great grandchildren; 2 great, great grandchildren; in-laws, Jean Cummins, Nolan (Joann) Cummins, Ann Moyer, Shirley Pierce, Bobby Cummins, Peggy Tsukahara, Velma Charles, and Kay Moyer and numerous other family and friends all of whom will greatly miss her.
