A Celebration of Life Amy Darlene Fletcher will be held in Sunray, Texas on May 14, at 10:00 AM at the First Methodist Church.
Born February 6,1940 in Sayre, Oklahoma to Willie Delmer (Bill) Norrell and Henryetta Jane (Harvey) Norrell. Amy's parents moved to Sunray in 1942 when her dad got a job in the natural gas business. Amy graduated from Sunray High School in 1959. She worked in Amarillo for a year then returned to Sunray to marry her high school sweetheart, Don Fletcher on January 30, 1960.
Amy worked for Continental Telephone in Dumas as a customer service agent taking payments, service applications, and selling the newest rotary dial phones for 15 years.
Amy was very active playing adult league volleyball, sewing, canning, and gardening. She and the family spent lots of weekends camping and fishing. Amy loved playing card games of all types but her favorite was Bridge.
She was an avid quilter often attending quilting seminars with her sewing friends. She loved the get together opportunities at Senior Citizen Center gaming with her friends.
Amy moved to Pottsboro, Tx. January 2023 to be closer to her family. She loved attending her grandkids school and sporting activities. When the family gathered she loved to play card games or wahoo.
Amy was preceded in death by her parents, twin sister Ellen DeBord, and husband Don. Amy is survived by her son Erick Fletcher and wife Carol of Pottsboro and son Jeff Fletcher and wife Kathy of Kingston, OK. Grandchildren are Darren Fletcher of Tool, Tx. and Jacob Fletcher and wife Tandi of Pottsboro, Maci Fuller and husband Brant of Amarillo, Avery Parr and William Parr of Edmond, OK. Great grandchildren are McCallie, Maudie, and Gus Fletcher of Pottsboro. Braylen, Braxon, Keslie, and Bryer Fuller of Amarillo, Liam and Anthony Parr.
