Belinda Crabb Foreman, 89, of Dumas, passed away Tuesday evening December 29, 2020. Funeral services are scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Rev. Matt Price, pastor of First Baptist Church, officiating. Interment will follow in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted with Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors. Belinda was born May 8, 1931 in Dalhart, TX, to Brook and Jessie Marjorie (Wood) Crabb. She was a lifelong Dumas resident and after graduating high school, Belinda raised her family and continued her education by attending night school at Frank Phillips College and eventually earning her Masters in mathematics degree from West Texas A&M University in Canyon, TX. Belinda taught school in Dumas for 17 years and following retirement she enjoyed traveling with friends to places like Hawaii, Scotland and taking a tour of the New England states. Her favorite pastime was quilting and volunteering to help others. She volunteered at Windows on the Plains Museum and as an ESL teacher at First Baptist Church. During family dinners, Belinda made sure to have enough mashed potatoes for her children and regaled them with stories of the difficult depression era. She was a member of First Baptist Church and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is preceded in death by her parents and 2 sisters: Billie Pipkin and Marjorie Sweigert. Belinda is survived by her children: Terry and wife Lisa of Dumas, TX, Scott and wife Synda of Pampa, TX, and Casey and wife Cheryl of Amarillo; brother: Steve Crabb and wife Beulah of Odessa, TX; sister: Mary Allred and husband Milton of DeLeon, TX. She is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren and numerous other family and friends as well as her loyal canine companion Jenny.
