Betty Jean Brown

Betty Jean Brown, 86 formerly of Stratford, passed away on Wednesday, November 11, 2020 in El Paso, TX. Graveside services will be held at 2 oclock in the afternoon on Monday, November 16, 2020 in the Stratford Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Betty was born on June 24, 1934 in Mt. Vernon Illinois to Byford and Margaret (Beckham) Denham. In 1955 she married Wayland Brown of Amarillo, TX and over the next 50 years they lived in Stratford, TX before eventually moving to Amarillo, TX. Wayland preceded her in death in 2012. Betty owned and operated Medical Claims Services until 2017. She was a member of the Lamount Baptist Church in Amarillo and enjoyed singing gospel music. In addition to her husband, she was also preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Sharon Lynn Denham. Betty is survived by her sister JoEllen Campbell of Mt. Vernon, IL, brother Don Denham and wife Brenda of El Paso, TX, sisters, Neva Holstein and husband L.E. of Spring Hill, TN and Sandra Kissner and husband Robert of Wayne City, IL; special grandson, Chase Griffin of Green Bay, WI; special nephew, Shawn Denham of Lynnwood, WA and several other nieces and a nephew.
