Billy Don McKee

Billy Don McKee, 86 of Dumas passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Darrell Wait, pastor of First Christian Church, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Military honors will be provided by Dumas American Legion Post 224.

Bill was born on November 3, 1939, in Ropesville, TX to Clyde and Mary Louise (Rowell) McKee. The family moved to Dumas when Bill was young and after school, Bill enlisted in the United States Army and served honorable. He married Lucy Grant on March 29, 1968, in Dumas, TX where the couple made their home. Bill worked as a welder, helping construct numerous feedlots throughout the country and also loved to make things out of horseshoes. He was of Christian faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; son: Charles Ray McKee; sister-in-law: Mary Sue McKee.

Bill is survived by his wife, Lucy of the home; brother: Jack McKee along with numerous other extended family members.
