Brenda Guadalupe Galaviz, 40, passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, in Dumas, Texas. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 o’clock in the evening on Friday, September 18, 2026, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Luis Lopez as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
Brenda was born on July 16, 1986, in Mexico to Jose Serda and Margarita Garcia. Brenda lived with a deep love for the people and simple joys that meant the most to her. She worked as a sales representative, bringing her warmth and personality to those she met. Brenda was known for her contagious laugh, a gift that brightened conversations and made others feel at ease.
She found happiness in coloring and in decorating, especially at Christmas time. Christmas was her favorite holiday, and she embraced it with special joy, creating warmth and beauty around her. Brenda also dearly loved her dogs, Trixie and Jax, who were an important part of her life.
Above all, Brenda adored her family. She will be remembered for the love she gave so freely, for the happiness she brought into everyday moments, and for the spirit that made her so special to those who knew her.
She was preceded in death by her father.
Brenda is survived by her children: Nayeli Vargas, Yoselyn Vargas, Yulitza Vargas, Donovan Serda Vargas, and Nayloni Serda all of Amarillo, TX; mother: Margarita Garcia of San Antonio, TX; siblings: Rudolfo Serda and wife Clara of Sunray, TX, Juan Serda and wife Blanca Nieto of Sunray, TX, Jesus Serda of Amarillo, TX, Alexander Serda and husband Alex of San Antonio, TX, Klaudia Acevedo and husband Gonzalo of Midland, TX; she is also survived by the father of her children: Jerry Vargas.
Brenda Guadalupe Galaviz will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered.
