Caroline was born on November 11, 1919 to Fred and Maudie Stevens in Marion, IN. The family moved to Borger, TX and raised the family there. The family were members of the First Christian Church. Caroline graduated her senior year at Phillips High School. She was a member of the first graduating class. Caroline helped in a café owned by an uncle then became a telephone operator. She married Philip Alexander and became the mother of his daughter, Phyllis June. They had a daughter, Susan Caroline. Phil was in the army, and they moved frequently eventually returning to Borger. Caroline was a lifetime member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She painted with Borger Creative Arts, traveled to three continents, and cared for her mother as well as her son-in-law Ed Parker. Caroline made trips to San Antonio to care for Ed, during a convalescent time. Through Caroline’s support, Phyllis was able to put her two sons through college; they earned their masters. In her travels, Caroline had a china cabinet full of animals she collected throughout all her travels. She was a fantastic cook and there was always room for one more at her table. She gave generously to others, even sewing for them.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan; husband, Phil, parents, brother: Charles Stevens and sister: Dorothy Howard.

Caroline is survived by her daughter: Phyllis Parker of Waco, TX; grandson: Edwin Parker and wife Ellen and their children: Camille, Sebastian, and Liam all of Roanoke, VA, Alex and wife Holly Parker of Waco, TX and their children: Ryan and Brady Parker; sister: Phyllis Joyce Gorham of Dumas, TX; nephew: Steve Gorham of Amarillo; niece: Diana Smith and husband Kevin of Dumas, TX; numerous extended family members.
