Catheryn Kiser

Catheryn Kiser - 70 of Dumas, Texas. Catheryn passed away on November 11, 2006 in Amarillo, Texas. Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, November 14,2006 at First United Methodist Church, Dumas with Rev. Keith Wiseman, family member of Lubbock, TX., officiating assisted by Rev. Beth Harrington, pastor of the church. Catheryn was born August 6, 1936 in Nara Visa, New Mexico to James and Amy Reed. She was a 1954 graduate of Dumas High School. On March 18, 1955 she married Harley Kiser in Dumas and spent most of her life in Dumas, Tx. She enjoyed being a cook at the Dumas Junior High School for 25 years retiring in August of 2006. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Survivors include her husband, Harley Kiser of the home; one daughter Tracy Shinogle and husband Steve of Cimarron, KS.; one son Glenn Kiser and partner Gary Loeb of San Francisco, CA.; one sister Evelyn Smith of Longview, TX.; three grandchildren, Amanda, Jessica, and Hank; five great-grandchildren, Jessica, Britney, Timber, Jacob, and Alexis. She was preceded in death by one son, Russell Wayne Kiser in 1956; and one sister Faye Reed in 2003. Memorials may be made to American Cancer Society, 403 Pear, Dumas, TX. 79029. The family will be at 223 S. Meredith.
