Cecilia Lavern Hogue

Cecilia Lavern Hogue, 80 of Sunray, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Friday, January 17, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church with Pastor Seth Seale officiating and Pastor Danny Hendricks assisting. Interment will follow in Lane Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 oclock until 7 oclock in the evening at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Sunray. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Lavern was born on January 30, 1939 in Welty, OK to Lawrence and Mae (Montgomery) Hutchinson. She married Carl Hogue on February 22, 1999 in Stinnett, TX and the couple made their home in Sunray, TX. Lavern was an excellent homemaker to her family. She loved the Lord with all her heart and enjoyed going to church. She also enjoyed watching old Hallmark Movies. Lavern loved her family deeply and could always be found supporting her grandchildren in all their activities. She was a member of the New Life Fellowship in Sunray and will be missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband: Carl Hogue; children: Shirley Davis, Jimmy Glenn Davis, Lonnie Cole Davis and Patty Lynn Salcido; siblings: Harlan Hutchinson, Jimmy Hutchinson, and Patty Hogue. Lavern is survived by her children: Jackie Cole and wife Beverly of Seminole, OK, Tammy Rodgers and husband Troy of Dumas, TX, Ray Davis and wife Sharon of Waterloo, NY, Johnnie Davis and wife Amber of Oklahoma City, OK, and Oscar Davis and wife Mandy of Sunray, TX; sister, Debbie Cardenas of Sunray, TX; 24 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
