Centa Stanton

Centa Stanton, 85 of Amarillo passed away on Sunday, November 16, 2025. A Graveside service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at Stratford Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Centa was born on January 4, 1940, in Munich, Germany to Franz and Kreszenz “Centa” (Hauser) Neumayr. She grew up with her two brothers Franzi and Leo along with her sister Renata in Munich, Germany before coming to the United States in 1958. She worked many years for McDonald’s Concrete and Insulation renamed Bice Construction until her retirement.

Centa loved gardening, reading her magazines and was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan. Centa loved our Lord Jesus Christ and was of Baptist Faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother Franzi; her husband, the love of her life, Tommy Stanton; sons: Robbie and Tyrone Emerson.

Centa is survived by her siblings: Renata and Leo both of Munich, Germany; daughters: Pat Emerson and Chris Jones; son: James Luther; also David Emerson, John Emerson, Johnny Emerson, Steven Luther; grandchildren: Braxton, Bladen, Treiten, Johnathan, Kade, Layton, Hannah, Marcus, Izabella, Nova, Anthony, Centa and Paisley.
