Clara Garcia

Clara G. Garcia, 80 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2020. Clara will lie in state at Morrison Memorial Chapel from 8 oclock in the morning until 8 oclock in the evening on Saturday, September 5, 2020 and again on Sunday from 12 oclock in the afternoon until 8 oclock in the evening. Cremation will follow under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Clara was born on March 11, 1940 in Dallas, TX to Eli and Maria Hernandez Gutierrez. She had been a resident of Dumas for over 43 years. Clara was an excellent homemaker who loved to cook for her family, sew and crochet blankets for her family. She was of Catholic Faith and will be greatly missed by her family. Clara was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Dianna Garcia, granddaughter Alicia Rodriguez and brother Jesse Sosa. Clara is survived by her husband Tony Ortiz of the home; children: Tony Garcia and wife Tommie and Mary Gonzalez all of Dumas, TX; 10 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 9 step children and many step grandchildren.
