Claudine McQueen Allen, a cherished homemaker and beloved member of the Stratford community, passed away peacefully on April 14, 2026, in Stratford, Texas. Born on July 11, 1925, in Amarillo, Texas, Claudine lived a life marked by kindness, dedication, and a generous spirit that touched all who knew her.
The daughter of Claude McQueen and Exie Kuykendall, Claudine was a proud member of the Greatest Generation. She carried forward the legacy of her parents with grace and humility, embodying the values of hard work and compassion. Throughout her life, she demonstrated a profound love for family and community, often expressing this through her talents and care.
A devoted homemaker, Claudine, was honored several times as "cook of the week," a testament to her loving nature and skill in the kitchen. Her welcoming table was a staple for anyone who happened to stop by; no one left her home hungry. Whether feeding the ranch hands or preparing delicious cakes and pies for funerals and weddings, Claudine's culinary gifts were an extension of her caring heart. Her love of sewing also added warmth and beauty to the lives of those around her, reflecting her creativity and attention to detail.
Claudine’s family was the cornerstone of her life. She is survived by her sons George Lynn Allen, his wife Kathy of Stratford, TX and his children Renne and Jami, Jerry Don Allen of Stratford, TX, and Theodore Mark Allen of Stratford, TX and his children, Roy and Wesley. Her legacy extends through her ten treasured great-grandchildren, who will carry forward the love and values she instilled.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband, George Henry Allen, and her grandchild Kayce, who remain forever in the hearts of those who loved them.
A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Stratford Cemetery with Steve Baskin, officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 5 o’clock to 7 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home in Stratford. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.
The family requests, with gratitude, memorials be made to Coon Memorial Hospice or Stratford EMT.
