Daniel "Donnie" Hugh Coaly

Daniel Hugh “Donnie” Coaly, 84 of Stratford passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. Funeral Services will be held at 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Thursday, January 29, 2026, at Plummer Event Center in Hollis, OK. Donnie will be available for viewing from 9 o’clock to 5 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday at the funeral home in Stratford, followed by a family visitation from 5 o’clock to 7 o'clock in the evening at Heritage Hall. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Daniel was born on May 3, 1941, in LaCasa, OK to James and Opal (Clark) Coaly. He married Diane Mitchell on July 7, 1995, in Taos, NM. Donnie worked for Harmon County and also for TX Dot where he worked until retirement. Donnie was an avid John Wayne fan and loved to watch old westerns. He also enjoyed guns, old Chevrolet trucks and old cars. Donnie loved his OU Sooners and the Dallas Cowboys. He absolutely adored his children and grandchildren and enjoyed fishing in Red River with them. He was of Christian Faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Ruth; brothers: Rheaford and J.W.

Donnie is survived by his wife, Diane of the home; children: Tammie Powers of Lubbock, TX, Stephanie Crosby and husband Chris of Weatherford, OK, Tami Penrod and husband Randy of Yukon, Ok, and Danny Davis of Stratford, TX; grandchildren: Kylie Kruse and husband Cole, Reid Wray, Kade Wray, Kendall Powers, Jaci Wray, Riley Penrod, Mason Penrod; great-grandchildren: Hayden Watson, Coaly Kruse, Kaci Kruse, and Donnie Wray; brother; Delbert Coaly and wife Jeanette of Hollis, OK; sister: Joyce Jackson and husband Harold of Tulsa, OK along with numerous other extended family members.
