Darrell Ray Dickinson, 62 of Dumas, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2019. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Thursday, September 5, 2019 at First Presbyterian Church. Family will receive friends from 5 pm to 7 pm on Wednesday at the funeral home. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Darrell was born on May 3, 1957 in Two Harbors, MN to Dale and Flora Dickinson. He grew up in Minnesota and graduated from William Kelley High. Darrell began working for Morton Buildings, was transferred to Dumas in 1985 and he would eventually work for Sherman County where he was the maintenance superivisor. He loved to hunt, fish, hike and just the outdoors in general. He was also a very skilled carpenter and helped build many homes in Dumas. Darrell also enjoyed training dogs which was evident to anyone who knew his love and bond with his dogs. Darrell was preceded in death by his brother: Larry Dickinson. Darrell is survived by his children: Natasha Coffin and husband Lorren of York, NE and Jeremy Dickinson and wife Darlene of Pampa, TX; parents: Dale and Flora Dickinson of Silver Bay, MN; siblings: Terry Dickinson and wife Debra, Cindy Donner and husband Bill, Sherry Hagood and husband Allan and Yvonne Brickles; girlfriend Kim Diseker and her children Amanda Lawler and Jake Diseker and wife Sarah, all of Dumas; grandchildren and 1 great grandchild and his loyal yellow lab Chase.
