David Lee Slater

David Lee Slater, 67 of Fritch, passed away on Tuesday, February 23, 2021. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 2 oclock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 27, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Chauncey Spencer, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. David was born on May 4, 1953 in Hobbs, NM to Cecil and Mona (Brockelman) Slater. David grew up in Spearman, TX and later worked as a diesel mechanic for Natural Gas Pipeline as well as various other businesses. In his free time, David loved riding around in his car with his faithful companion, Roxie. He also enjoyed a nice cold beer. David will be missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. David is survived by his daughter: Wendy Green of Dumas, TX; son: Lance Slater and wife Jamie of Dumas, TX; brothers: Mike Slater and wife Dana of Fritch, TX and Steven Slater and wife Kathy of Hobbs, NM; sister: Monette Giles of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Page Slater and fianc Joel Reyna, Zackary Slater and girlfriend Brissa Ayala, Mason Slater and wife Sadie, and Brailey Green; great-grandson: Ezra James Slater.
