Obituary

Debbie Harper 68 of Dumas passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, February 21, 2026, at Change of Heart Church with Teacher Keith Hight, officiating. The family will receive friends on Friday from 6 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home. Cremation will follow. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Debbie was born on June 17, 1957, in Dumas, TX to William Earl and Ruby Corrine (Wilson) Henry. She moved to Georgia when she was young and later back to Dumas in 1975. On May 28, 1976, she married Jon Harper; he preceded her in death. She was a wonderful wife and mother and not only was she a great cook she was also very crafty. She was a member of Change of Heart Church.

In addition to her husband, Jon, she was preceded in death by her parents and 5 brothers and sisters.

Debbie is survived by her daughters: Alicia Harper and Darin Ward of Dumas, TX, Megan Schrade and husband Jarrett of Goliad, TX; grandchildren: Amber Ward and Kalynn Bassham and husband Jaylon; great-grandchildren: Amelia Grace Fox, Julie Bassham and Braxton Bassham; siblings: Carolyn Long and husband Ted of Dumas, TX, Earleen Caudle of Mcloud, OK. Randall Henry of Gainesville, GA, and Kay Hebebrand and husband Jeff of Cleveland, GA; sister-in-law: Sally Urley and husband Bob of Borger, TX; brothers-in-law: Mike Harper and wife Sheila of Greenbriar, AR, Jim Harper and wife Cindy of Nashville, TN; along with her very special friend: Jan Harper of Dumas, TX.
