Delmer Lee Washington

Delmer Lee Washington 69 of Dumas passed away on Monday, September 29, 2025. Funeral Services are scheduled for 5 o’clock in the evening on Monday, October 6, 2025, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Chris Fobb, officiating. The family will receive friends from 2 o’clock until service time. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Delmer was born on May 15, 1956, in Phoenix, AZ to Eunice and Dorether (Cobbs) Washington. On August 21, 1976, he married Cynthia Smith in Arizona. He worked for JBS for 42 years until his retirement last year. Delmer loved sports, especially the Pittsburgh Steelers and Florida State Seminoles. You could always find him watching basketball, football or bowling. He was of Baptist Faith and will be missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings: Ruby, Tharon, Lesley, Euit, and Louise; great-grandchildren: Kylee and Zabriel Washington.

Delmer is survived by his wife Cynthia, of the home; children: Delmer Washington, Jr of Phoenix AZ, Anson Washington and wife Melissa of Michigan, Chris Washington and wife Desire’ of Amarillo, TX, LaKeysha Washington of Amarillo, TX, Maurice Washington of Dallas, TX and Latasha Washington of Dumas, TX; 18 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild; siblings: Isaiah Washington, Melvin Washington, Alton Washington, Emmett Washington, Nathan Washington, and Lois Washington along with numerous other extended family members.
