Denise Ann (Collier) McCutchan, 71 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019. Her memorial service will be conducted at Bible Baptist Church in Dumas, Texas on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at 4:00 p.m. with Pastor Johnny Widener officiating and Shaun Serle of Ponca City, Oklahoma assisting. Denise was born February 18, 1948 in Clayton, New Mexico to Tom Lester, Jr. and Marjorie Fowlkes. She was adopted by William J. Collier in 1956. Denise graduated from Dumas High School in 1966 and married the love of her life, Barry V. McCutchan on September 22, 1967. They lived in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, Dumas, Texas, and Alva Oklahoma. After Barrys retirement, they had relocated to Dumas to lovingly care for their parents Margie Collier and D.A. "Buster" and Mildred McCutchan. Denise was a strong woman of faith, a devoted homemaker, and a loving wife, mother and Grana. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Dumas. She was loved by those who knew her and will be greatly missed. Denise relocated to Yukon, Oklahoma in 2017 to reside with her son, Scott and his family while she admirably fought cancer. Denise was preceded in death by her beloved husband Barry, her parents William J. and Margie Collier, as well as two brothers: Kirk Collier and Gary Collier. She is survived by her son, Scott and his wife Mem McCutchan of Yukon, Oklahoma and her three grandchildren Grant, Molly, and Jack McCutchan and her brother Bill Collier of Waller, Texas, as well as many beloved cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. The family requests that memorials be made to The Presbyterian Manor House of Hope Fund, 5100 Stone Lake Dr., Wichita Falls, TX 76310 or to the Bible Baptist Church Ghana Mission Fund, 212 W. 1st St., Dumas ,TX 79029.
