Deryl Tracey

Deryl Tracey, 59 of Dumas, passed away on Tuesday, October 26, 2022.  Funeral services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Seth Seale officiating.  Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Deryl was born on November 4, 1962, in Clayton, NM to Roy and Peggy (Waller) Tracey.  He graduated High School in Texline, TX.  He hauled cattle and fertilizer before eventually going to work for Hartwell Farms in Dalhart, TX for numerous years until his injury in 2012.  Deryl loved to ride horses and work on his truck.  He was a very handy man who could fix anything. He was of Christian Faith and loved the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers: Gerald and George; mother of his child: Danisha Odell.

Deryl is survived by his daughter: Amy Ballew, husband Eric and their daughter Laney; sister: Cheryl Tracey of Canyon, TX; along with numerous nephews, nieces and other extended family members.
