Dewart Armour McCutchan

D. A. 'Buster' McCutchan, 96 of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, May 23, 2017. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at First Assembly of God with Damon Akins, pastor of the church, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Buster was born on January 7, 1921 in Tipton, OK to Everett and Mary Ellen (Powell) McCutchan. He was a longtime resident of Dumas. Buster was united in marriage to Mildred James in Clovis, NM in 1941; she preceded him in death on May 13, 2016. He was a member of First Assembly of God and a Deacon of the church for many years. Buster was a member of the Farm Bureau Board and spent most of his life in farming. He enjoyed driving tractors, helping others and driving trucks for Oglesby International. He was an avid collector of toy tractors. After his retirement, Buster spent many hours drinking coffee with 'the guys' at Oglesby's shop. He looked forward to going to Albert's restaurant for fish because of the good natured banter of the wait staff. In addition to his wife Mildred, he is preceded in death by a son: Barry McCutchan; brothers: Don and Kenneth McCutchan; and sisters: Helen Guss and Cuma Frochen. Buster is survived by his son: Jerry McCutchan and wife Doris of Dumas; grandchildren: Russell McCutchan and wife Wenda of Fayetteville, NC, Scott McCutchan and wife Mem of Yukon, OK, and Jay McCutchan and wife Susan of Dumas; sisters: Betty Ledford of Springfield, MO and Leona Smith and husband Dan of California; brother: Bob McCutchan of Idaho Falls, ID; and six great-grandchildren. Family requests memorials be made to First Assembly of God General Fund

So sorry Jerry and McCutchan family for your loss. All my farming years in Dumas were made better by the acquaintance of your dad.
