Don McDaniel

Don McDaniel 79 of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, September 9, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 3 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, September 15, 2023 at Encounter Church with Pastor Brianna Curran, officiating. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Don will be available for viewing at the funeral home from 12 o’clock to 8 o’clock in the evening on Thursday. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Don was born on October 30, 1943 in Dumas, TX to Don Calvin and LaRou Elizabeth McDaniel. He grew up in Dumas where he attended Dumas High School.  After school, he enlisted in the United States Army where he served as an MP.  After his release from the Army, he was a parts salesman in Arkansas for over 30 years.  He then moved back to Dumas where he sold headstones and owned and operated a game room. He was of Christian Faith. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister: Janet Newton and brother, Robby.

Don is survived by his children: Don Douglass McDaniel, Jr., Yevonne Dyke of Las Vegas, NV, Yevette Whittlesey and husband David of Rogers, AR; 6 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren; siblings: Dean McDaniel and wife Leah of Conroe, TX, Rhonda McDaniel of Dumas, TX, Tony McDaniel and wife Sharon of Henderson, NV, Randy McDaniel and wife Melissa of Bastrop, TX; sister-in-law: Brenda McDaniel of Hendersonville, TN; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
