Donald Roger Zimmerman

Donald Roger Zimmerman of Stratford went to his heavenly home September 25th 2020. Don was born October 4, 1943 to Reinhold and Milta (Ketterling) Zimmerman in Elgin, ND. Don was the oldest of seven children. On November 25th 1966 he married the love of his life, Lura Bunch. Two children were born to this union. A son, Stacy of Lubbock. A daughter, Tammi of Stratford. Don was a truck driver most of his life and had served in the US Marines. He was an avid collector and reader of books and loved spending time with his grandchildren and great grandsons. Don was preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers, Rod, Wayne and Dell, and his daughter, Anisa Potts of Reno NV. He is survived by his wife, Lura, of the home, son Stacy (Melissa Jan Phelps) and daughter, Tammi (Ray) Lermon, 3 grandsons, Rowdy, Ransom and Jaren, 3 granddaughters Courtenay, Jayla and Jaden, and 3 great grandsons, Atlas, Raymond and Rolland, 1 brother, Mark, 2 sisters, Glee Mayer and Becky Imhoff all of North Dakota, numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Services will be held at 10 o'clock in the morning on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at Morrison Funeral Directors in Stratford under the direction Beeson~Morrison Funeral Directors.
