Eddie Troutman, 52, passed away Saturday, November 22, 2008 in Dumas. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, November 24, 2008 at First Baptist Church with Rev. Darrell Wait, pastor of First Christian Church officiating. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Eddie Troutman was born in Dumas, Texas on October 8, 1956 to Carl and Viola Troutman. He graduated from Dumas High School in 1975 where he excelled in football, basketball and baseball. He attended TCU and Texas AM. On July 24, 2003 he married Sharon Blair at Taos, NM. He was a farmer. Eddie was a lifelong resident of Moore County and a member of First Christian Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, son, Tyler Troutman and step-father, John Rowland. Survivors include; his wife, Sharon of the home; daughters, Carla Troutman and companion Jody Gestes of Lubbock, Shelah Blair of Amarillo, Shannan Blair of Euless, TX; son, Trey Troutman of Dumas; sisters, Mary Helen Lummus and husband Joel of Amarillo, Betty Ann Sansing and husband, Dr. Bill of Clarendon, Linda Jean Burkman and husband, Gary of Amarillo; granddaughter, Jacelyn Gestes of Lubbock; mother-in-law, Josie Chesser of Dumas; and many nieces and nephews. Memorials may be made to Memorial Hospice, 224 E. 2nd, Dumas, TX 79029 or to the First Christian Church, Restore the Splendor, PO Box 971, Dumas, TX 79029.
