Edward N. Brewer, 82, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in Dumas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 22, 2008 at First United Methodist Church with Rev. John Wagoner, retired minister and Rev. Mark Scott, pastor of the church officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Edward N. Brewer was born June 28, 1926 in Caney, Kansas to Ezra and Bertha Brewer. He graduated from Caney High School. He played football at Coffeyville Junior College and graduated from Kansas State University. On June 28, 1958, he married Dixie Timmis at Bartlesville, Oklahoma. He was an engineer for Phillips Petroleum until his retirement in 1981. He was a member of Dumas Noon Lions Club, Moore County Senior Citizens and involved in numerous camping clubs. Ed had been a resident of Dumas since 1958 and was a member of First United Methodist Church.Ed served in the Army Air Corps from 1944-1945 He was preceded in death by brothers; Charles, Gene and Wayne. Eds mother-in-law, Goldie Timmis, 97, passed away December 17th and her services will be at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 19, 2008 in Pawhuska, Okla. Survivors include; his wife, Dixie of the home; daughters, Debbie Runcie and husband, Steve of Amarillo, Janet Brown and husband, David of San Antonio, and Lori Gwyn and husband , Allan of Amarillo; grandchildren, Andrew Runcie, Ben and Bethany Brown. Memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 395, Dumas, TX 79029 or Moore County Senior Citizens, PO Box 2114, Dumas, TX. 79029. The family will be at 403 Mills in Dumas.
