Edward Victor Sheltra, Sr. 73 of Dumas passed away on Sunday, June 30, 2024. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, July 5, 2024 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Johnny Widener, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Edward was born on June 24, 1951 in Newport, VT to Kenneth Joseph, Sr. and Elizabeth Theresa (Macie) Sheltra. He would spend almost 20 years of service in the United States Air Force and was stationed in locations like Japan and Greece. Edward was with Green Hasson & Janks In Los Angeles, CA for 17 years. He was an Honoree. He made sure everything was in stock. He was also in the Hart to Hart tv show in Athens Greece where he got to meet Stefanie Powers and Robert Wagner.  

Edward was good with numbers and loved staying busy by doing odd jobs. He loved family and enjoyed family gatherings, He moved to Dumas to be closer to his daughter and her family and continued his love of helping others. Edward was of the Christian faith and will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. 

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother: Kenneth Joseph Sheltra, Jr: sister: Donna Lea Lee.

Edward is survived by his daughter: Kimberlea Jones of Dumas, TX; son: Eddie Sheltra of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers: Randy Sheltra and wife Martha of Opp, AL, Mark Alan Sheltra of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; sister: Debra Bussman and husband Paul of Ft. Walton Beach, FL; grandchildren: Aimee Walker and Jeffrey Walker; great-grandson: Nikolai Noble Sheltra.
