Elias S Perez, Sr.

Elias S. Perez, Sr. 69 of Dumas passed away on Wednesday, August 9, 2017. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o'clock in the evening on Friday, August 11, 2017 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, August 12, 2017 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery under the direction of Morrison Funeral Directors. Elias was born on November 13, 1946 in Snook, TX to Rosalio and Rosalia (Soliz) Perez. He was united in marriage to Estella Coronado on January 10, 1966 in Dumas; she preceded him in death on July 15, 2007. Elias favorite pastimes were fishing and casinos. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and uncle; family was very important to him. Elias especially loved spending time with his grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends. In addition to his wife, Estella, he is preceded in death by his parents; and a brother: Juan Perez. Elias is survived by his son: Elias Perez, Jr. and wife Zandra of Dumas; daughters: Minerva P. Arenivar and husband Angel of Wichita Falls, Rosalie Philom and husband Som of Murfreesboro, TN, Roseanne P. Franco and husband Manuel of Amarillo, and Rebecca Apodaca and husband Rick of Fritch; sisters: Lydia Martinez and husband Raymond of Caldwell, ID and Patricia De La Fuentes and husband Benny of Sharon, WI; 12 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, and companion, Arjelia Cruz. The family suggests with gratitude memorials be made to American Cancer Society, 403 Pear, Dumas, TX 79029.
