Elizabeth Waters

Elizabeth Waters, 93, of Dumas, died Monday, October 23, 2006, in Dumas. Graveside services will be held Thursday, October 26, 2006, at 2:00 PM in the Dumas Cemetery with Rev. Joe Leathers, family friend, officiating. Mrs. Waters was born May 11, 1913, in Amarillo to John and Ida B. Wright Dean. On June 15, 1942, she married S. D. Waters. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a Charter Member of the American Legion Ladies Auxillary Post 224. She was preceded in death by her husband. Survivors include one nephew, C. M. Bryant and wife, Norma of Claude; two nieces, Juanita Hughes of Amarillo and Juannell Fairchild of Claude; one son, Dean Waters and wife, Sharon of Dumas; one granddaughter, Chrystel of Dumas; five great grandchildren and her caregivers, Sandy and Howard Martin of Dumas. The family suggests memorials to Memorial Hospice, 224 East Second, Dumas, TX 79029 or a favorite charity.
