Estanislado "Stan" Castaneda

Estanislado “Stan” Castaneda, 62, of Dumas, passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025, in Dallas. The Rosary will be prayed on Friday, November 28, 2025, at 6 o’clock in the evening at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church in Cactus with Father Luis Lopez as celebrant, internment will follow in Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

“Stan” was born October 2, 1963, in Juarez Mexico to Estanislado and Carmen (De La O) Castaneda. In 1981, he met Catalina and they were united in marriage on February 7, 1981. They traveled to Dumas in search of a better life and place to raise their family. Stan found employment at JBS in Cactus where he worked as a forklift driver for 34 years. He was a very dedicated employee who was always on time and never missed a day.

Family was important to him and one of the most important lessons he would teach his children was to always be there for your family. Stan also had a passion for helping others. A passion that would lead him to join the Cactus Fire Department and, during his 20 years of service, rise to the rank of Captain. This was the only thing that could take him away from family, helping others in a time of need.

Stan also took pride in his home and yard. His rosebushes were a symbol of his devoted love to his wife and family. He was a devoted Christian man who will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents: Francisco De La O and Luz Carrasco; his mother: Carmen De La O; brother: Juan Castaneda; sister; Adela Castaneda.

Stan is survived by his wife Catalina of the home; daughters: Carolina Mendoza and husband Alejandro of Dumas, TX, Karina Calderon and husband Melvin of Colorado Springs, CO and Claudia Rangel and husband Jesus of Dumas, TX; father: Estanislado Castaneda of Juarez Mexico; brothers: Lorenzo Castaneda and spouse Genoveva of Dumas, TX, and Francisco Castaneda and wife Catalina of El Paso, TX; sister: Maria Castaneda and husband Martin Martinez of Dumas, TX ; Grandchildren: Brayan Rangel, Humberto Olivas, Ashley Olivas, Isaac Caro, Amely Rangel, Obed Castaneda and Jaiden Calderon. Stan is also survived by many other family and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of customary remembrances, memorials be made to Cactus Fire Department.

Estanislado "Stan" Castaneda, de 62 años, de Dumas, falleció el sábado 22 de noviembre de 2025 en Dallas. El Rosario se rezará el viernes 28 de noviembre de 2025 a las 18:00 horas en la Morrison Memorial Chapel de Dumas. La misa funeral se celebrará a las 10 de la mañana del sábado 28 de noviembre de 2025 en la iglesia de Nuestra Señora de Guadalupe en Cactus, con el padre Luis López como oficiante; el entierro seguirá en el cementerio Dumas. "Stan" nació el 2 de octubre de 1963 en Juárez, México, hijo de Estanislado y Carmen (De La O) Castaneda. En 1981, conoció a Catalina y se casaron el 7 de febrero de 1981. Viajaron a Dumas en busca de una vida mejor y un lugar para criar a su familia. Stan encontró empleo en JBS en Cactus, donde trabajó como carretilla elevadora durante 34 años. Era un empleado muy dedicado, siempre puntual y nunca faltaba a un solo día.

La familia era importante para él y una de las lecciones más importantes que enseñaría a sus hijos era estar siempre ahí para la familia. Stan también sentía pasión por ayudar a los demás. Una pasión que le llevó a unirse al Departamento de Bomberos de Cactus y, durante sus 20 años de servicio, a ascender al rango de capitán. Esto era lo único que podía alejarle de su familia, ayudando a otros en momentos de necesidad.

Stan también sentía orgullo de su casa y su jardín. Sus rosales eran un símbolo de su amor devoto por su esposa y familia. Fue un hombre cristiano devoto que será profundamente echado de menos por todos los que le conocieron y amaron.

Le preceden en la muerte sus abuelos: Francisco De La O y Luz Carrasco; su madre: Carmen De La O; hermano: Juan Castaneda; hermana; Adela Castaneda.

Stan deja en vida a su esposa Catalina, de la casa; hijas: Carolina Mendoza y su esposo Alejandro de Dumas, TX; Karina Calderón y su esposo Melvin de Colorado Springs, CO; y Claudia Rangel y su esposo Jesús de Dumas, TX; padre: Estanislado Castaneda de Juárez, México; hermanos: Lorenzo Castaneda y su esposa Genoveva de Dumas, TX, y Francisco Castaneda y su esposa Catalina de El Paso, TX; hermana: María Castañeda y su marido Martín Martínez de Dumas, TX; Nietos: Brayan Rangel, Humberto Olivas, Ashley Olivas, Isaac Caro, Amely Rangel, Obed Castaneda y Jaiden Calderon. Stan también deja muchos otros familiares y amigos.

La familia solicita que, en lugar de los recuerdos habituales, se hagan donaciones al Departamento de Bomberos de Cactus.
