Estanislao Castaneda

Estanislao Castaneda, 88 of Cactus, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2026. A Rosary will be prayed at 6 o’clock in the evening on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 1 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, January 16, 2026, at Our Lady of Gudalupe Catholic Church with Father Juan Carlos as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Estanislao was born on December 7, 1937, in Juarez, Mexico to Estanislado and Cleta (Huerta) Castaneda. He had been very involved in politics in Mexico. Estanislao loved the outdoors, farming and was always very proud of his crop. Estanislao was a member of Our Lady of Gaudalupe Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him.

He is preceded in death by his parents; son: Estanislado "Stan" Castaneda.

Estanislao is survived by his children: Lorenzo Castaneda and wife Genoveva of Cactus, TX, Francisco Castaneda and wife Catalina of El Paso, TX, Maria Castaneda and husband Martin Martinez of Cactus, TX; daughter-in-law: Catalina Castaneda of Cactus, TX; brother; Jaime Castaneda of El Paso, TX; grandchildren: Ivan Castaneda, Carolina Castaneda Mendoza, Heriberto Castaneda, Karina Castaneda Calderon, Lilliana Castaneda, Jairo Castaneda, Osvaldo Castaneda, Juan Martinez along with numerous great grandchildren.
