Eustacio L. Barraza, 91 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, March 1, 2023. A Rosary will be recited at 6 o’clock in the evening on Friday, March 3, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 o’clock in the morning on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Stratford Cemetery under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Eustacio was born on March 29, 1931 in Mexico to Victoriano and Soledad (Lerma) Barraza. He was a longtime resident of the community. Eustacio was united in marriage to Esperanza Corrujedo on December 27, 1952 in Mexico. 
Eustacio migrated to the United States, with the Bracero Program, looking for a better life for his family. He was a hard worker and held several jobs from farming, construction, and at the Smelter. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt, target shoot and playing dominoes. Eustacio was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be dearly loved and missed by his family and all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his son: Roberto Barraza; grandson: Nick Barraza.

Eustacio is survived by his wife: Esperanza Barraza, of the home: children: Carmen Leyva and husband Manuel of Dumas, TX, Julian Barraza and wife Rosa of Stratford, TX, Elvira Aldana and husband Ramon of Dumas, TX, Manuel Barraza and wife Karen of Goodwell, OK, Vincent Barraza and wife Diana of Clinton, OK, Jose Barraza and wife Rosalinda of Mexico, Alma Barraza and husband Chindo Alvardo of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Monica, Veronica, Kristen, Sandra, Lisa, Gabriel, Raquel, Michelle, Jennifer, LeRoy, Xochitl, Angie, JJ, Kika, Adam, KC, Millie, Amanda, Solomon, Juan Jose, Ashley, Robert, Jr.; 44 great-grandchildren and 7 great-greatgrandchildren along with numerous other extended family members.
