Floyd Clifford Butch Ellison

June 14, 1951 — December 19, 2020

Floyd "Butch" Clifford Ellison, 69 of Stratford, passed away on Saturday, December 19, 2020. Funeral Services are scheduled for 10 oclock in the morning on Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at First Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Rinne, pastor of the church, officiating. Private family burial will take place at the Stratford Cemetery under the direction of Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors. Butch Floyd Clifford Ellison was a simple man. A farmer and rancher in Sherman County his entire life, he believed in helping all people and was willing to give the shirt off his back to a stranger in need. He was always willing to offer himself to ease others burdens. Always wanting to generate a positive reaction from people, he loved to make others laugh or smile. A little rough around the edges, honest and straight in his words, he could make the grumpiest soul grin. If Butch picked on you, it was his way of expressing love and joy. Born June 14, 1951, to Clifford and Alice Ellison, of Stratford- this is where he chose to make a life. February 12, 1972, Butch married his first love, Nina Jo Kyle. For 23 years, he and Nina enjoyed a wonderful life. They were blessed with two sons and a daughter, which they shared with the world: Sammy Ellison, Buffy Boger and Kyle Ellison. After 23 years of marriage, in November of 1995, Nina was called home by her Lord & Savior. Butch was left to carry-on, ranching and farming the land he had partnered with his own mother and father years before. Always doing so with the most positive of attitudes and sense of purpose. As Gods grace would reveal, 23 years later, he married the last love of his life. On August 31, 2018, Annette Radford & Butch married. This was a union between two people that had already shared mutual times as family and friends. He gained two beautiful children, Charolette Howard and Kevin Radford. Annette and Butch lived in marital bliss until he passed on Dec 19, 2020. Butch began working on the Sherman County roads and bridge crew in October, 2008 until his retirement in August, 2020. He was a member of the First Baptist Church. He has served on the board for the Sherman County Depot museum. Butch was preceded in death by his father Clifford Ellison, mother Alice Ellison, wife Nina Ellison, 2 grandchildren Katherine Jo and Brayden Lee Boger, sister Vicki Murphey, & sister Melissa Hggard. He is survived by his wife, Annette of the home. His children Sammy and Kara and son Hayden Ellison of Weatherford, Texas; Kyle and Tammi and daughters Kenna and Ashten Ellison of Bushland; and Buffy and Malcolm and children Shaylee and Brance Boger of Dickens and Charolette and Jay and daughter Lynzi Howard of Bushland and daughter Brianna and Jarod Allen of Friona and their kids Bexton and Bayden; and Kevin and Laura and sons Wyatt and Garrett Radford of Alva Oklahoma; one sister Terry Ellison of Amarillo along with many nieces & nephews.
