Genevieve M. Allen

Genevieve M. Allen, 98 formerly of Dumas passed away on Tuesday, December 19, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Friday, December 22, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Joel DiAngi, officiating. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Genevieve was born on April 29, 1925, in Memphis, TX to Derwood and Estelle (Craver) McCool. She was a long time resident of the community but in her later years she was a resident of Hillside Heights. Genevieve was united in marriage to “Buck” Johnson on April 24, 1943, in Hollis, OK; he preceded her in death. Later she married Orville Allen who also preceded her death. Genevieve worked as a secretary for First Christian Church and also First Presbyterian Church.  She loved to sew and was an excellent cook. She also enjoyed traveling and playing bridge.  She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother and will be missed. 

In addition to her husbands, Buck and Orville, she was preceded in death by her parents; daughter: Jenny Starr Everson; sisters: Anita Tibbets-Quirk and Rachel Savage. 

Genevieve is survived by her son: Darrell “Buzzy” Johnson of Yukon, OK; grandchildren: Stephane Lee and husband Patrick of Amarillo, TX, Jeff Johnson and wife Beth of Las Vegas, NV, Alex Johnson of Yukon, OK; great-grandchildren: Candice Starr Lee and Erica Lee.
