Gerardo Chacon Solis, 45 of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, March 24, 2021. A Rosary will be recited at 6 oclock in the evening on Friday, March 26, 2021 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The funeral mass will be celebrated at 1 oclock in the afternoon on Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors. Gerardo was born on February 16, 1976 in Chihuahua, Mexico to Manuel and Martha Chacon. He was united in marriage to Marisela Murga in 2010 in Dumas, TX. Gerardo was a dedicated hardworking and devoted family man. Family was everything to him, he adored his children and would call his parents in Mexico often. After working several years in the oil fields, he found his home in Dumas working for Willis Construction. In his free time, Gerardo loved cooking, listening to music, as well as horseback riding when he was visiting family in Mexico. Gerardo was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be greatly missed by his family and all who knew him. Gerardo is survived by his wife, Marisela of the home; children: Abraham Cordero, Emily Chacon, and Uriel Chacon all of the home, Desiree Chacon of San Antonio, TX; parents: Manuel and Martha Chacon of Mexico; brothers and sisters: Yolanda Chacon of Mexico, Ismael Chacon and wife Maria of Dumas, TX, Manuel Chacon and wife Jessie Calderon of Odessa, TX, Brayan Chacon and wife Stephanie of Dallas, TX and Corely Chacon of Mexico; numerous nieces and nephews.
