Harold Don Garrett

Harold Don Garrett, 71 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. Family will hold services in East Texas during the summer. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Harold was born on April 20, 1948 in Sulphur Springs, TX to Hope and Pearlie (Bevill) Garrett. He honorably served in U.S. Airforce during the Vietnam War. Harold received his Bachelor of Science and began teaching Industrial Arts. After leaving teaching, he worked at Diamond Shamrock for 10 years. Harold loved spending time in East Texas, wood working and enjoyed large family reunions; family was very important to him. He was preceded in death by his parents. Harold is survived by his son: Justin Garrett and wife Lori of Dumas; daughter: April Garrett Diehl and husband Jeff of Glenview, IL; grandchildren: Joseph and Jesse Garrett, Grace, Isabelle, Caroline, and Madeline Diehl; brothers: Charles Garrett of Combine, TX, Dennis Garrett of Owasso, OK; sister: LaGaylia Cot of Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
