Harvey W. Kinikin Sr, 58, formerly of Dumas, passed away Wednesday, December 17, 2008 in Waxahachie, Texas. Services will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Richard Mouery officiating. Burial will be in Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Harvey W. Kinikin Sr. was born December 19, 1949 in Dumas, Texas to John J. Kinikin and Bernice L. Smith Giles. Harvey retired from El Paso Corporation as an oil field operator, working for 15 years. He was currently employed by the Wood Group as an off shore operator in Louisiana. He was a wish granter for the Make A Wish Foundation and was a member of the Eagles Lodge. He was a devoted and loving father and husband. He loved and enjoyed classic cars, fishing and hunting. Harvey will be missed by so many who knew him and loved him. He was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, John and Victor. Survivors include his loving wife of 28 years, Marglen; daughter, Yvette Robinett and husband, Jim of Sunray; sons, Harvey Kinikin, Jr. of Amarillo, Clint Vorachard and wife, Julee of Justin, Kody Kinikin of Abilene and Jared Vorachard of Round Rock; step-mother, Norma Jean Kinikin of Etter; brothers, Vern Bittner of Midlothian, Nicky Bittner of Etter, Barry Bittner of Kingsburg, CA; grandchildren, Devin, Desiray, Brittney, Elizabeth, Braden, Avery, Broc and Logan; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6 PM to 8 PM on Friday, December 19, 2008 at Morrison Funeral Directors.
