Higinia Porras Munoz, 50 of Dumas, passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017. Funeral Services are scheduled at 5 o'clock on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Grace Thru Faith Fellowship and at 11 o'clock in the morning on Monday, March 20, 2017 at Grace Thru Faith Fellowship. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors of Dumas. Higinia was born on December 9, 1966 in Mexico to Jose and Ignacia (Bustamante) Porras. The family moved to Dumas in 1975 where she attended school and graduated from Dumas High School. Higinia was united in marriage to Simon Perez Munoz on February 11, 1989 in Dumas. She was a loving homemaker and devoted to her family. Higinia was very creative with arts and crafts, loved to crochet, and enjoyed singing. She especially loved to vacation in Colorado. Higinia was of Christian Faith and will be dearly missed by her family and all who knew her. She is preceded in death by her parents and a brother: Adam Porras. Higinia is survived by her husband, Simon of the home; daughters: Jessica Munoz, and Erika Gonzalez and husband Andrew all of Dumas, Zinah Munoz of the home; brothers: Edward Porras and wife Yvonne, Richard Porras and wife Rosario, Remijio Porras all of Dumas, Humberto Porras and wife Lupe and Jose Alfredo Porras and wife Susanna all of Odessa, Abraham Porras and wife Julissa of Katy; sisters: Manuela Armendariz and husband Paco of Dumas, Gloria Cano and husband David of La Vernia, TX, Elvia Williams and husband Dennis of Houston; grandchildren: Kimberly, Aiden, Sophia, and Noah; and numerous nieces and nephews.
