Jack C Vincent

Jack C. Vincent, 94 of Stratford passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. Funeral Services are scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Wednesday, December 20, 2023, at the Church of Christ in Stratford with Wayne Smith, officiating. Interment will follow at Stratford Cemetery. Mr. Vincent will be available for viewing on Tuesday December 19, from 12 o’clock in the afternoon to 8 o’clock in the evening at the funeral home in Stratford. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Jack was born on July 25, 1929, in Wichita Falls, TX to Hillary LaVern (Vern) and Thelma (June) Obrien Vincent. The family moved to Stratford where he attended High School as a Junior and Senior. Jack was a good athlete and held the record for the 100-yard dash at Stratford High School until 1973. 

After graduation from High School, Jack attended Panhandle State University for two years before he was drafted into the U.S. Army. Jack honorably served during the Korean Conflict and was discharged in October 1952. 

He was preceded in death by his, wife: Wendolyn “Sisty” Flores; parents; brothers: Walter Vincent and his wife Johnny; nephews Mike Vincent and David Vincent.

Jack is survived by his daughters: Mickie Cottle and husband Dennis, April Schmehr and husband Ron, Toni Vincent and fiance Jerry Keith all of Amarillo, TX; grandchildren: Cory Cottle and wife Michelle, Lena Luck and husband Joe, Wes Luther and wife Kalli, Kaleb Watson, Jennifer DeAnda, and Chris Schmehr; 9 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild; nephew: Matt Vincent and wife Lori of Cedar Park, TX.
