Janese Marie Rains

Janese Marie Rains 53 passed away Thursday, November 1, 2007 in Amarillo, Texas. Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, November 3, 2007 at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor of Sunray Baptist Church officiating. Burial will follow at 4:00 PM in the Gruver Cemetery. Arrangements are by Morrison Funeral Directors. Janese was born October 11, 1954 in Guymon, Oklahoma to Howard and Virgie Thomas. She had been a resident of Dumas since 1972. On April 28, 2005 she married Jim Rains in Clayton, NM. Janese was a waitress and had worked for K-Bobs Steak House for eight years and Alberts Manor House Restaurant for seven years. She was preceded in death by her sister, Mary Elizabeth Thomas. Survivors include; her husband, Jim and the home; two daughters, Angela Davis of Jacksonville, TX, Nessa Locke of Amarillo; four sons, Everett Locke of Dumas, Joseph Thomas, Jason Thomas, Justin Thomas all of Kingston, AZ; mother, Jeanette Melton of Dumas; sister, Brenda Reece of Dumas; two brothers, Johnny Thomas of Kingston, AZ, Robert Thomas of Dumas; two step-daughters, Tracie Scott and husband Junior of Healdton, OK, Shelly Brown and husband Dempsy of Gentry, AR; step-son Steven Rains and wife Terrie of Davis, OK; sixteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Memorials may be made to BSA Hospice, PO Box 950, Amarillo, TX 79105. The family will be at 113 Pine and 611 Oak in Dumas.
