Janie Rowley

Janie Rowley, 74 of Stratford passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023. A Memorial Service is scheduled for 4 o’clock in the afternoon on Saturday, October 7, 2023, at Morrison Memorial Chapel in Dumas with Victor Garza, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Janie was born on October 4, 1948, in Laredo, TX to Onecimo and Maria (Medellin) Garza. She married David Rowley; he preceded her in death. Janie was a Licensed Vocation Nurse who worked in the Dalhart Unit. She loved to read, travel, and attend school reunions in Laredo. She also loved her dogs and cats.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents and sister Julieta Garza.

Janie is survived by her nieces and nephews: Sara Garza, Maria Moreno, Eloy Garza Jr. and wife Marina, Johnny Garza and wife Silvia, Irma Spurlock and husband Dru, Tina Garcia and husband Ricardo and Tino Garza and wife Janet; 31 grand-nieces and nephews, 46 great grand-nieces and nephews.
