Janis Sheppard

Janis Sheppard, 83 formerly of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, July 6, 2025. Janis will be available for viewing from 9 o’clock to 10:30 in the morning on Monday, July 14, 2025 at Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors followed by a graveside service at 11 o’clock at Northlawn Memorial Gardens with Pastor Zane Powers, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.

Janis was born on July 27, 1941, in Dumas, TX to William Lee and Frances Inez (Tidwell) Webb. She grew up in Dumas where she graduated from Dumas High School. On July 3, 1982 she married Lee Sheppard; he preceded her in death. Janis worked for First National Bank for 25 years and then for Moore County Sheriff’s Office. Janis was a member of the First Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents.

Janis is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and other extended family members.
