Jannette Beecroft Hardwick was born on December 8, 1941 in Colonia Dublan, Chihuahua, Mexico.  Her parents were Joseph H Beecroft and Jannice Farnsworth Beecroft.

Jannette grew up in and around the Mormon colonies including Colonia Garcia, Chihuahua, Mexico.  She was surrounded by her sisters and a very large extended family including aunts, uncles, and many cousins. She homeschooled and attended schools in Mexico, Oklahoma, and Arizona.  She and her family rode horses, worked cattle, and cared for other animals on the ranches where they lived when she was young.  She graduated from the Academy of Colonia Juarez on June 2, 1961 in Chihuahua, Mexico before moving and traveling to many places.  Jan married Loy Lee Hardwick on May 2, 1992 and her focus and love from then on was the ups and downs of their family together.

She was preceded in death by parents and by sisters Lana Beecroft, Margie Waggoner, and Glenda McLaughlin.

She is survived by her husband Loy Lee Hardwick, Sr., sisters Jo Ann Beecroft and Peggy McGinnis, daughter Birtie Barber, and grandchildren Amara Aubrie Marie Barber, Shanna Elizabeth Jannette Barber, James Patrick Joe Lee Barber,  Loy Haven Lee Barber, Trevor Allen Robert Barber, Lexi Hardwick, and Tre Hardwick.  Jan’s adult step-children and extended family include Loy Lee Hardwick, Jr. (deceased) and Tammy Hardwick with their 2 children, Guy and Nelda Hardwick with their 4 children, Daniel and Teresa Culbertson with their 6 children, Randall Hardwick and Marylin Hardwick (deceased) with their 4 children.

Jan always had a happy giggle.  She loved animals and had many skills, like riding horses and working cattle, that she had learned in her early years on ranches with her family.  She loved all children, especially their grandchildren close around her.  She always put their needs first as her health would permit.  She loved the Gospel and adored her caring church family in Borger that strengthened her faith and helped her to attend the Temple.  She had found her forever family years ago when she met and married Loy Lee Hardwick. They took good care of each other over the years.  She will be missed dearly by her family and friends alike.  Her passing has left hearts broken, but we are so happy to have had her for the time we had been given.  May she rest in peace.
