Jessie Guajardo, 82 of Dumas, passed away on Sunday, October 7, 2018. Funeral Services are scheduled for 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Grace Thru Faith Fellowship Church. Interment will follow at Northlawn Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Jessie was born on May 8, 1936 in Gonzalez, TX to Reyes and Magdalena (Luna) Guajardo. On September 27, 1957 he was united in marriage to Guadalupe Zapata in Muleshoe, TX. Jessie enjoyed activities such as fishing, poker, and bingo. He especially loved to listen to music as well as watching football and baseball. Jessie was known to everyone as a very hard worker, quite the prankster and a very good story teller. Family was also very important to him. He adored his children and grandchildren. Jessie was a joy to be around. He was of Christian faith and will be dearly missed by his family and all who knew him. He is preceded in death by his parents; 2 sons: David and Bobby Guajardo; 3 brothers and 2 sisters; a grandson: Felipe Guajardo; and son-in-law: Willie Galvan. Jessie is survived by his wife Lupe of the home; children: Jessie Guajardo, Jr. and wife Carla of Arlington, Felix Guajardo of Pecos, Linda Trevino and husband J.R. of Dumas, Sandra Holguin and husband Edward of Dumas, Toni Galvan of Ft. Worth, and Mary Valenzuela and husband Gilbert of Amarillo; 22 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. The family suggests, with gratitude, memorials be made to Alzheimer's Association, 5410 S. Bell #411, Amarillo, TX 79109.
