Jesus Murga, Sr. 72 of Dumas passed away on Saturday, April 18, 2020. A family rosary will be held at 6 oclock in the evening on Friday, May 8, 2020 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. A graveside service is scheduled for 11 oclock in the morning on Saturday, May 9, 2020 at Dumas Cemetery with Father Gabriel Garcia, officiating. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Jesus was born on September 9, 1947 in Santa Maria Del Oro Durango to Francisco Ramos and Luisa Murga Borjas. On February 10, 1977 he was united in marriage to Juanita Cruz in El Paso, TX. Jesus will be remembered as a man who would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He would do anything for anyone. His favorite pastime was horse-racing. He was also an avid fan of the Dumas Demons and Dallas Cowboys. His greatest passion was his family. He was a very devoted husband, father and grandfather. Jesus was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church and will be dearly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death his parents; sons: Jesus Murga in 1986 and Jorge Alberto Murga in 2005. Jesus is survived by his wife Juanita of the home; daughters: Olga Murga and husband Carlos of Juarez, MX, Juanita Aguilar, Maria Chacon and husband Ismael all of Dumas, Erika DeLeon and husband Alan of Amarillo, TX, and Luisa Sosa Murga of Dumas, TX; sons: Jesus Murga, Jr. of Dumas, Daniel Murga and wife Melissa of Amarillo, TX; brothers: Ramon Murga of Dumas, TX, Antonio Murga of Dumas, Alberto Murga of Anthony, NM; sister: Soledad Martinez of Juarez, MX; 27 grandchildren, 8 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.
