Joe Mungia

Joe Mungia, 68 of Stratford, passed away on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. A Funeral Service is scheduled for 11 o’clock in the morning on Monday, November 15, 2021, at First Baptist Church with Pastor Michael Rhinne, officiating. Joe will be available for viewing on Monday from 9 o’clock in the morning until service time. Services are entrusted to Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.Joe was born on October 31, 1953, in Friona, TX to Joe, Jr. and Eulalia (Gonzales) Mungia. The family moved to Stratford where Joe graduated Stratford High School. After high school he joined the United States Marines where he honorably served. In his younger years, Joe coached little league sports. Joe was a hard-working man and an excellent mason. He will be greatly missed.He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife: Deana; and brother: Danny.Joe is survived by his daughter: Tania Stockstill and husband Mark of Picayune, MS; son: Daniel Mungia of Stratford, TX; grandchildren: Torie Spiers, Ethan Stackstill, RaeLynn Mungia, and Cole Mungia; great-grandchildren: Khloey Stockstill and Kohen Baker; brothers: Johnny Mungia of Stratford, TX, Willie Mungia of Sonora, TX, David Mungia of Oklahoma City, OK; sister: Rosa Noriega of Sonora, TX.
