John "Big John" Fisher

John E. “Big John” Fisher, 56 of Dumas, passed away on Thursday, October 21, 2021. A Graveside Service is scheduled for 2 o’clock in the afternoon on Monday, October 25, 2021 at Westlawn Memorial Park with Jace Delgado, officiating. The family will receive friends from 4 o’clock to 5 o’clock in the afternoon on Sunday at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Beeson ~ Morrison Funeral Directors.John was born on February 16, 1965 in Spearman, TX to John and Arlene (Lively) Fisher. He graduated from Fritch High School in 1983. On March 18, 1989, he married Wynona Lewis at Lake Meredith. John went to work for Hutchinson County in the Road and Bridge Department as a blade operator. After retirement, he worked for Palo Duro Water District as General Manager. John spent his life working hard and doing for others. He loved to cook, especially for others and was well known as an excellent Pitmaster. John was of Christian Faith and will be forever loved and missed. He was preceded in death by his father.John is survived by his wife, Wynona, of the home; son: John Fisher and wife Chelsea of Dumas, TX; grandchildren: Rhyleigh and Landon; brother: Darrell Fisher of Borger, TX; sisters: Cindy Wood and husband Ronnie of Borger, TX, Nancy Thompson and husband Bill of Fritch, TX; mother: Arlene Fisher of Borger, TX; brother-in-law: Leonard Lewis and wife Anna of Amarillo, TX; cousins: Robert Fisher and wife Sherry of Alvin, TX.The family requests with gratitude memorials be made to Moore County Animal Shelter, 1830 S.
