John "JP" Paul Valadez

JohnPaul (JP) of Dumas, Texas passed away on August 5, 2024. Memorial services will be held at 2 o'clock in the afternoon on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Morrison Memorial Chapel with Pastor Danny Courtney officiating.  Arrangements are entrusted to Beeson Morrison Funeral Directors.

JP was born on April 11, 1982, in Lubbock, Texas to Roberto Valadez and Delamentina Martinez. He attended and graduated from Morton High School and was attending college at the time of his death. He was a loving, kind giving person who was always there to help anyone at any time. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan and loved his Dr. Pepper drink. He was a volunteer firefighter for many years earning Rookie of the Year for Dumas, Texas in 2018 and Responder of the Year for Dumas, Texas in 2019. JP loved his family very much. He was a gamer and was great at anything he did. He will be deeply missed.

He is preceded in death by his father Roberto Valadez, grandparents Pablo and Adelina Martinez and Uncle Jesse Martinez; mother in law Tammy Shields.

Left to cherish his memory is his fiance, Kristal Hogue and son Matthew Hogue of the home; his mother Delamentina Martinez, sisters Rosie Belez with her partner Bethany Wall and Sonya Valadez. Brothers Joe Valadez and Robert Valadez Jr; In laws: Mike Shields, Dale and Tina Hogue;  brothers in law: Matthew Hogue and wife Leanne, Aaron Hardy and wife Katy, Bruce Lenormand and sister in law Chelsea Hogue; along many nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles cousins and friends.
