John Michael Moreno

John Michael Moreno, 41 of Dumas, passed away Friday, August 19, 2016. The Rosary will be recited at 7 o'clock in the evening on Friday, August 26, 2016 at Morrison Memorial Chapel. The Funeral Mass is scheduled for 10 o'clock in the morning on Saturday, August 27, 2016 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church with Father Gabriel Garcia as celebrant. Interment will follow at Dumas Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Morrison Funeral Directors. Michael was born on May 3, 1975, in Denver, CO to Jesus Moreno and Ofelia (Marquez) Moreno. He was a father, son, brother and a great friend to others. Michael was loyal to his kin and generous whenever he had the means to do so, which meant always. His charisma and laughter would put a smile on your face and make you forget why you were upset with him in the first place. Michael worked for JBS and was a member of Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church. He will live in our hearts forever. Michael was preceded in death by his father Jesus Moreno. Michael is survived by his parents: Ofelia Sosa and husband Enrique of Dumas, TX; children: John Michael Moreno Jr. of Amarillo, TX, Sebastian Govea, Imani Govea, and Alexis Moreno of Juarez, Mexico; sisters: Patricia Moreno De Leon and husband Augustine of San Antonio, TX and Blanca Moreno of Amarillo, TX; a brother: Jesus Emmanuel Moreno and wife Erica of Dumas, TX; and numerous other extended family members.
